Experienced Project Architect
 
Are you an experienced project Architect looking for a new challenge?

We are recruiting for an Architect with a minimum of 3 years post Part III experience to join our team.

Pearce Bottomley Architects are a dynamic and creative Practice based in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, easily accessible from the A1/M1 network/A64 with plentiful free parking.

We are looking for a talented and well-rounded Architect with experience of private residential and commercial sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on sustainable design and proven site experience.
 

  • Proven experience across all RIBA work stages and contract administration.

  • Knowledge of CDM and the Building Safety Act.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritise tasks.

  • Capable of confidently engaging with clients, contractors and colleagues.

  • Self-motivated and disciplined.

  • Preparation of detailed drawings, specifications and 3D models.

  • Fluency in AutoCAD/Revit.

  • Experience of Photoshop, InDesign and SketchUp advantageous.

  • * UK driving licence and access to a car essential*

  • ​This is not a remote position, and a significant amount of the working week is office based.

 
Salary and benefits package is competitive and based on skills and experience.

Part I Architectural Assistant
 
 

We are looking for a motivated and design-driven Part I Architectural Assistant to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent architecture graduate to gain hands-on experience across all RIBA work stages within a collaborative and supportive environment.
 

Pearce Bottomley Architects are a dynamic and creative Practice based in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, easily accessible from the A1/M1 network/A64 with plentiful free parking.
 

You will work closely with project architects and senior team members, contributing to live projects from concept through to delivery. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with concept design, spatial studies, and visualisations.

  • Producing drawings and models for planning and design development.

  • Supporting technical drawing packages and presentations.

  • Preparing reports, schedules, and client presentation material.

  • Participating in design reviews, meetings, and studio critiques.
     

About you:

  • RIBA Part I qualified (or equivalent).

  • Strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical awareness.

  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Good communication and organisational skills.

  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to learn in a professional practice environment.
     

This is not a remote position and in order to work with and learn from the team you will be office based.
