We are delighted to share that the new pavilion at Sicklinghall Cricket Club, designed by our architectural team and built by Richard Medcalf and his team will be officially opened this summer.

The new pavilion places community at its heart - providing a welcoming, flexible space for players, supporters and local residents alike.

The design creates strong connections to the cricket pitch, while the stone exterior links to the surrounding village setting. The overhanging eaves give natural shading to the south elevation (and shelter from the Yorkshire weather when required!) during the summer months and allow solar gain in the winter. Thoughtfully planned social spaces ensure the pavilion celebrates both the spirit of grassroots cricket and the social life that makes the club so important to the community.

The official opening will take place on Sunday 14th June 2026, marking both the completion of the project and the club’s 100-year centenary. It promises to be a family-friendly community event, with all welcome to join the celebrations.
