We recently had the pleasure of delivering an engaging and informative Continuing Professional Development (CPD) presentation on Building Conservation to the team at Harewood House. The session focused on the importance of specifying the correct materials for renovation projects at historic and listed buildings.
The presentation was led by Alexa Stephens, Practice Partner and award-winning conservation and ecclesiastical architect. Alexa, an AABC (Architect Accredited in Building Conservation) registered architect, has extensive experience in this sector working on nationally significant listed buildings and scheduled monuments.
During 2024 Alexa headed the PBA team that oversaw the submission of an application for Listed Building Consent to repair roof lights, doors and windows at Harewood. These sensitive repairs, maintenance, and replacement joinery elements were carefully designed to align with the original details of this iconic stately home.
Feedback following the CPD session was extremely positive sparking insightful discussions and relevant questions forthcoming.
We’d like to thank the Harewood House team for giving us the opportunity to share our expertise and foster valuable relationships.
