Kasturi holds a Masters’ degree in Historic Building Conservation and works on ecclesiastical and historic buildings projects in her capacity as a Part II Architectural Assistant. She also has previous experience in heritage conservation, residential care, education and automotive sectors; with her varied experiences and skill set she makes an important contribution to the Practice.

Kasturi is extensively involved on Listed building and Ecclesiastical buildings projects. She admits to always being excited to resolve the challenges of working on historic building projects, as it requires a balance of preserving history, and achieving modern standards, within the constraints of the client’s aspiration and budget and statutory regulations.

She is passionate about the opportunity to restore, retrofit or adapt a building for the future - it’s both a demanding and rewarding challenge. Encouraged by the fact that her work, however large or small, will not only help conserve the history, the building itself and its intangible heritage, it will also assist in achieving a sustainable future in the wake of climate change demands.

She added: “Though most of my work is related to old buildings, I’m eager to make use of potential advantages of Building Information Modelling on heritage conservation projects during design and construction stages, which can then act as an invaluable asset throughout its life cycle”.
