Church of St Mary the Virgin, Masham

sallybeeden

Also known as the Church of St Mary or St Mary's Church, this is the parish church in the town of Masham, North Yorkshire. The church, which overlooks Masham’s historical market place, stands on the site of an Anglo-Saxon place of worship with some the original Saxon stones incorporated into the current church. Archaeology has determined that the site has been used as a place of Christian worship for over 1,400 years.

St. Mary’s in in the care of our ecclesiastical team headed by Alexa Stephens. On a recent inspection visit Alexa took this superb view of the roof and beyond from the church spire.

Qualified as an AABC Ecclesiastical Architect Alexa heads our specialist team. Our unique experience in this field has led to our appointment to manage a range of churches and to be able to carry out essential quinquennial inspections which are compulsory for all Church Buildings.
