We are delighted to announce that Alexa, who heads up our Ecclesiastical and Conservation teams, has been appointed as a Partner at Pearce Bottomley Architects, effective from 1st January 2025.

Alexa, who is an AABC qualified Architect has developed a healthy portfolio of ecclesiastical projects including Quinquennial inspections for a diverse range of churches.

She has an impressive set of credentials in the specialist areas of Historic buildings, Ecclesiastical architecture, Conserving Church buildings and working with parishes to create spaces for worship.

Alexa’s easy-going manner and her specialist, in depth knowledge of her craft have combined to attract new dioceses to work with us at PBA. We are excited at the many varied opportunities coming from multi faith origins. Wishing you well Alexa in your future role.

We are at the same time sorry to announce that Partner of 12 years, Richard Appleyard, has retired from the Practice.  After 34 years of service at PBA Richard is heading off to pursue a more healthy work-life balance.

Richard’s contribution during his career has been huge and he leaves a lasting legacy of successful projects, as well as the transference of important skills to other team members who have benefitted hugely from his wealth of experience. Thank you Richard for all you have done and contributed to the Practice.
