Our Residential Architecture Team were proud to present the completed extension and remodelling of a private home in Saxton, Tadcaster, with a focus on accessible design.
The overall brief was to create an accessible ground floor bedroom with ensuite.
We were asked to extend the existing house to improve the main entrance and introduce a bedroom with an accessible shower room to the ground floor with level access and views to the garden.
‘Flow’ between the old and new spaces was important, and we also looked at the efficiencies of the house’s fabric and systems.
The new accessible entrance and ground floor bedroom were created and have been warmly received by the client who praised the way the design blends seamlessly with the existing structure.
