As the church hall renovation enters its final stages, one of the most rewarding aspects of the project has been seeing the new locally carved stonework take its place within the building.

Stone has always been central to the character and longevity of historic buildings, and this project demonstrates how traditional materials and skilled craftsmanship can continue to play an important role in their future. Carefully carved by local craftsmen, the new stonework has been designed to sit naturally alongside the existing fabric, enhancing the building while respecting its architectural heritage.

As ecclesiastical architects, we are passionate about retaining and celebrating the craftsmanship that gives historic churches their unique identity. Working alongside Whitaker & Leach as main contractor, it has been a pleasure to see the quality and attention to detail invested in every stage of the project.

The refreshed hall will provide a welcoming, flexible space for church activities, events, and local groups, while respecting the character of this historic setting.

We’re looking forward to seeing the completed project in use and enjoyed by the community for many years to come.
