Hospital and healthcare architecture can have a transformative effect on both patients and staff - and that goal was central to the brief we received for the Girlington Health Centre.

Located in the heart of Bradford, the site is surrounded on each side by the traditional terraced housing so typical of the area. But this didn't constrain the project - instead we were asked to create an inspiring, high quality landmark building.

The principle feature of the medical centre is the bright, double height waiting area, which forms the heart of the scheme. 

Careful specification and use of colour creates a friendly and modern interior, while the building is designed in such a way that it achieves BREEAM healthcare ‘excellent’ standard.
