This greenfield site in the North York Moors National Park was developed for
the Sanctuary Housing Association. The project was to build six new two storey
affordable family houses arranged around a central common land.
The traditional design and local materials of natural stone and pantile roofs
were specifically chosen to match the surrounding context. Completed on time and
to budget, the six finished houses provided much needed affordable homes in the
rural village of Danby.
