HISTORY
Pearce Bottomley Partnership was formed in 1958 and has evolved from the merger
of three practices with a history dating back to 1888.
Two Principals, Stephen Calvert and Nigel Moore head the current Practice with
a team of architects, technicians, technologists and administration support.
DESIGN APPROACH
The practice aims to provide design excellence coupled with a dedicated personal
service to clients. We cover the whole range of project procurement from briefing
and analysis, through problem solving and design, to building and handing over
the finished product. We believe in the close involvement of the Principals from
inception to completion and endeavour to maintain a personal service and to deliver
the building on time and within budget. We can also draw upon other consultants
to provide a multi-disciplinary team to provide cost effective management throughout.
Our procurement strategies include traditional methods and Design and Build as
well as the Partnering approach arising from the Egan report.
The most important part of our job is to listen and understand our client, to
explore the options and to meet our clients' expectations.

The practice has a wide-ranging portfolio of work with many long established
clients returning with new commissions. These range from housing to healthcare
and from education to the workplace. Our experience includes new-build projects
and works to existing buildings with many being listed or within conservation
areas. Project size varies from the modest alteration or repair contract to major
corporate headquarters and community hospitals.
