The project is one of two buildings in tranche 1b of the Barnsley NHS LIFT Development programme and comprises the construction of a new three storey building on an existing brownfield site close to Cudworth Town Centre.

 

The centre was developed to coordinate healthcare provision in Cudworth and brought together four GP Practices, a Pharmacy, Local Authority facilities and PCT facilities including Physiotherapy, Audiology, Day Care Surgery, Dentistry and Podiatry in the same building. This significantly improves primary care in Cudworth by providing enhanced therapy and clinical facilities in a quality environment.

 

The building is arranged into zones with public accessible spaces on ground and first floors and largely staff spaces on the second floor. A main building reception adjacent the main entrance directs visitors to sub reception and waiting areas within the building.
