The project is one of four buildings in tranche 2 of the Doncaster NHS LIFT Development programme and comprises the construction of a new two storey building on an existing brownfield site close to Askern Town Centre.

 

The centre was developed to coordinate healthcare provision in Askern and brought together a two GP Practices, a Pharmacy, Local Authority facilities and PCT facilities including Treatment suites, Multi purpose areas, a Minor Surgery / Day Case Suite & attached staff facilities in the same building. This significantly improves primary care in Askern by providing enhanced therapy and clinical facilities in a quality environment.

 

The building is arranged into zones with public accessible spaces on ground floor, a discrete minor surgery suite on the first floor and generally staff only spaces on the first floor. A main building reception adjacent the main entrance directs visitors to sub reception and waiting areas within the building.
