This £2m refurbishment and extension work consists of, on one side, a two-storey classroom extension and on the other a four-court Sports Hall with associated changing facilities.

 

The two-storey classroom extension provides much needed additional teaching space, including a music classroom with practice rooms built to the current acoustic standards and recommendations. The new circulation links through to the main teaching corridors on both floors and provides a second stair and access to new external areas improving the circulation throughout the whole school.

 

The four-court Sports Hall stands a little apart from the main school but linked by a single storey changing facility. These new changing facilities completely replaced the existing changing rooms and altered the area around them to provide a generous circulation corridor which now connects the classrooms to the dining hall. The Sports Hall and Changing Block are also able to be let out as a stand alone facility to the wider community.

 

The two extensions along with several specialist classroom refurbishments within the existing building transform the school into a fully equipped modern high school.
