Since 1960 the Practice has provided architectural services in connection with a wide variety of Educational Buildings in both the private and public sectors, including new-build primary, secondary and comprehensive schools for the City of Leeds and throughout Yorkshire, together with numerous alterations and extensions. Further and higher education commissions have ranged from the Leeds Training College at Beckett Park, now part of the Metropolitan University to refurbishment works for Leeds University.
In the private sector we have completed projects at Leeds Grammar School, and at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Wakefield and at Bootham School in York. We have also prepared feasibility studies and outlined proposals for development appraisals including North Leeds College and sixth form facilities at St. Peter's School, York.
We have built strong relationships with both the C of E Diocese of Leeds and Ripon and the RC Diocese of Leeds in carrying out alterations and extensions and are actively involved with the governing bodies in establishing their development plans in the context of DfES and funding models.
